The goal isn’t just to take better  photos. It’s to begin seeing your surroundings differently.

Learn to See Before You Shoot

Great street photography starts with observation.

During this two-hour guided photo walk, you’ll learn how to slow down, recognize a photograph before you take it and use the tools already built into your phone to capture it. You’ll also explore visual storytelling and learn how to create images that work together, whether you’re capturing everyday life, an experience or creating content to share on social media.

We’ll work on:

  • Understanding what makes a compelling street photograph
  • Getting more from your smartphone camera
  • Finding and using beautiful natural light
  • Creating stronger compositions
  • Capturing authentic moments respectfully
  • Using reflections, shadows and color creatively
  • Photographing architecture with more impact
  • Making simple edits directly on your phone
  • Building confidence photographing in public

Meet Your Instructor

Susan Weigold

Susan is Program Director and Instructor at Seacoast Photography School, a photographer and social media strategist who understands the power of a strong image to tell a story. Her work spans fine art, commercial and street photography, with a focus on light, color, composition and the moments that often go unnoticed.

She brings that same approach to iPhone photography, helping photographers get more from the camera they carry every day. Drawing on her experience in photography and social media strategy, Susan helps you find your own style, create stronger images and build visual stories that feel like you, whether you’re capturing life on the street or sharing your work on social media.

Susan also leads the Image Lab, a collaborative space where photographers receive thoughtful feedback on their images, strengthen their visual storytelling and continue developing a style and body of work that is uniquely their own.
