Fall Foliage Workshop - Beginners & Intermediates Welcomed:
Join us on a beautiful autumn day to photograph the brilliance of leaves turning atop Mt. A. 2021 is predicted to be ideal for leaf peepers. Mount Agamenticus is Maine’s gateway to spectacular fall foliage. We will photograph from great mountain vistas around the perimeter of the summit. Mount Agamenticus is a 692 ft high monadanockin the town of York. The area surrounding the summit is a park reservation which provides habitat for wildlife and a venue for recreation.
From the top of the summit on a clear day you can see the skyscrapers of Boston, White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Maine Coastline all the way to Portland.
As a photographer and York resident of over 25 years, David Mazur has been photographing the seacoast area capturing the elements of the local seascapes and landscapes.
Black & White Workshop - Beginners & Intermediates Welcomed:
What You'll Learn:
Tonality: Tones and shadows create the effects that make black and white photography so dramatic. From white to black there are 256 shades of gray in between. Understanding the nuances of shades form different ends of the spectrum provide the photographer with a range of effects that bring black and white photos to a higher level of quality.
Composition: Some compositions work well with black and white and unfortunately others don’t. In this workshop, you will learn what type of subjects are best for black and white photography. Additionally, light will impact every aspect of the quality of the photo. Adjusting your subject and light in the right composition creates bold black and white richness.
Form: When done right form will bring your black and white photos to life. Landscape and architecture are wonderful examples of the moods and real feel created from black and white photography. Portrait Photography: Learn in a portrait studio to master various lighting techniques, posing, and post editing touch up.
Landscape Photography: Workshop begins in a classroom to learn best camera settings and techniques. Remainder of class in on location to apply what you’ve learned to produce some amazing photographs.
Drone Workshop: This popular workshop offers training in video camera setup, camera maneuvers, shooting practices, pre-planning and post production editing. Also, learn safe flying practices with an emphasis on current FAA airspace regulations, rules and privacy concerns.
Street Photography: Workshop begins in a classroom to learn best camera settings and techniques. Remainder of class on location to apply what you’ve learned to produce some interesting effects.
