Camera + Coffee is a monthly creative gathering for photographers who want to experiment, develop their style, and find new inspiration behind the camera.

This isn’t a photography lesson. There’s no critique and no technical breakdown. It’s two hours dedicated to seeing differently, trying something new and enjoying photography with a professional photographer at your side.

Camera + Coffee

October 3 | 9:00 AM–11:00 AM | Portsmouth, NH.  A small group creative session designed to help you experiment with new ideas and develop your personal style. Each session includes a creative prompt, a photo walk, and a guided conversation over coffee. Limited to four photographers.

How the Morning Works

Get the Prompt
SPS’s Susan Weigold introduces the creative theme and gives you a little direction before heading out.

Explore + Create
Spend about 55 minutes photographing Portsmouth. Everyone gets the same prompt, but how you interpret it is entirely your own.

Choose One Image
Pick one photograph from your walk that speaks to you.

Coffee + Share
Over coffee, Susan leads the group in sharing your images, creative choices, and stories behind them.

No critique. No technical breakdown. Just a guided conversation about creativity, storytelling, and seeing differently. This is a creative space, free of unsolicited comments and judgements.

Meet Your Coffeemate

Susan Weigold

Susan is Program Director and Instructor at Seacoast Photography School, a fine art and commercial photographer, and a social media strategist with a focus on visual storytelling.

Currently developing her own fine art photography collection, Susan brings a strong understanding of the creative process, from experimentation and developing a personal style to building confidence in the choices that shape an image.

Her Camera + Coffee creative sessions are designed to give photographers space to step away from the technical side of photography and focus on seeing, experimenting, and creating with intention. Susan guides each session with a creative prompt and encourages photographers to trust their eye, explore new ideas, and enjoy the process of making photographs.
