Music, Movement and the Moments in Between.
For a few summer evenings, Portsmouth's historic Pleasant Street transforms into an open-air celebration of music, people, and community.
Join Seacoast Photography School as we turn Pro Portsmouth's Summer in the Street concert series into our living classroom. Through guided fieldwork, we'll explore candid street photography, movement, changing light, and visual storytelling, learning to anticipate the moments that capture the energy and emotion of a summer evening.
It's not simply about photographing a concert. It's about capturing the feeling of being there.

Beyond the Camera. Beyond the Ordinary.
The most memorable photographs aren't always of the main event. Sometimes the real story unfolds at the edges of the crowd, in a passing glance, a spontaneous gesture, or the connection between a musician and an audience.
Through this workshop, we'll explore:
-
Expressions and interactions that reveal human connection
-
The rhythm and movement of live performance
-
Changing light across Portsmouth's historic streets
-
Small details that give a larger story meaning
-
Capturing atmosphere through a thoughtful series of images
